About Us

Cha Zhi Ji is a highly reputable and trustworthy tea merchant in Malaysia, founded by Mr. Henry Yiow in 1995. In the same year, Mr. Henry also established the Malaysia Kuantan Tea Art Research Association, fostering exchanges among tea enthusiasts and contributing to the continuous development and enrichment of tea culture.

Cha Zhi Ji is guided by the ideals of integrity and a passion for tea art. We have always been committed to collaborating wholeheartedly with the most professional partners to source excellent and select tea leaves, teapots, tea cups, and related tea art supplies. Coupled with our unique aesthetic and cultural sensibilities, we have successfully established a remarkable brand image. In addition to Malaysia, we have also opened branches in China.

Tea Leaves

Emphasis is placed on the craftsmanship and preservation methods of Wu Yi Cliff Tea, Pu-Er Tea, and Liu Bao Tea.

Founder Mr. Henry personally ventures to the source to seek natural and ecological raw materials. He collaborates with tea processors to refine the techniques for producing the finest products. After the tea leaves are processed, Mr. Henry attaches great importance to the storage environment.

Cha Zhi Ji has excellent tea storage conditions, so the teas collected by Cha Zhi Ji mature and develop a rich flavor. Due to the confluence of favorable factors, Cha Zhi Ji has also slightly preserved 'Malaysian Warehouse' aged teas such as Liubao, Pu-Er, and Cliff Tea.

Teapots

Cha Zhi Ji's purple clay teapots are crafted from aged purple clay sourced from natural mineral deposits. No chemical additives are used in the clay.

After the purple clay minerals are extracted, skilled craftsmen use traditional secret techniques to refine the clay. It is then aged in a damp cellar, and the longer the aging, the more 'vintage' the clay becomes.

Cha Zhi Ji is dedicated to creating teapots from aged purple clay, known for their fine and pure texture. When used, they not only enhance the aroma and preserve the original flavor of the tea but also exhibit a distinctive aged character.

Antique Teawares

Cha Zhi Ji values antique teawares. Older items are often handmade, crafted with care by skilled artisans. When hands guide the creation, there's a personal touch, warmth, and a sense of emotion within these utensils.

Well-used items carry the charm of the past, allowing users to connect with the meaning imparted by their creators. They add elegance and even enhance the presentation of tea in terms of its color, aroma, and taste. Antique objects, even if they have lost their former appearance, can become precious treasures in Cha Zhi Ji's store.

Tea Artistry

Cha Zhi Ji places great importance on the art of tea appreciation and brewing. In the process of savoring tea, we have developed our own set of practice, including:

a. Water Quality - Choosing the finest mineral water.
b. Water Heating Method - Using charcoal and a charcoal stove to heat the water.
c. Tea Techniques - Incorporating the principles of Southern-style Gongfu tea and modern scientific analysis, we have developed our own 'Cha Zhi Ji Gongfu Tea' method. It combines the selection of tea utensils, water preparation, temperature control, brewing, tea appreciation, aroma assessment, and tea evaluation to create a spiritual tea culture.
