Ancient Tree Black Tea – Sun-Dried Dianhong from Wild Old Trees
Cha Zhi Ji’s Ancient Tree Black Tea is crafted from handpicked leaves of wild Yunnan tea trees over 200–300 years old, grown in pristine high-altitude environments with no pollution. Harvested only in early spring, these nutrient-rich leaves undergo a traditional process: withering, rolling, fermentation, and sun drying.
This tea is a rare form of sun-dried Dianhong (滇红), also known as “Shai Hong.” Its appearance is marked by tight, dark brown twisted leaves. The brew has a soft orange hue and a naturally sweet, smooth flavor with distinct floral and honey notes, as well as a subtle wild character (“ye yun”).
Key Features:
- Made from 200–300-year-old wild arbor Yunnan tea trees
- Traditional sun-dried method: withering, rolling, fermentation, drying
- Natural honey and floral aroma, mellow sweetness, thick and smooth
- Rich in active compounds, ideal for aging and long-term storage
- Red-orange liquor, sweet taste, and lingering finish
Aged or freshly enjoyed, this Ancient Tree Black Tea reveals evolving layers of fragrance and complexity—elegant, grounded, and enduringly satisfying.
