Bai Ji Guan ("White Cockscomb") is one of the four famous tea varieties in Wuyi Cliff Tea. The spring tea picking period typically starts around mid-May and mainly involves plucking two or three leaves. Its leaves have a pale green color, and the young leaves are as thin and delicate as silk. The roots, trunks and boughs of these old trees are often covered with moss - a sign of the health of the ecosystem. The top bud of the tea tree is slightly yellow and gracefully drooping, with visible fine hairs resembling a rooster's crest, hence the elegant name 'Bai Ji Guan,' which translates to 'White Cockscomb.'
Our Bai Ji Guan yields a delicate infusion that is fresh, crisp and smooth. The fragrance resembles the unique aroma of rice dumplings and bamboo, with a certain vegetal creaminess. This tea also delights with its velvety mouthfeel and smooth sweetness.
