Produced by Cha Zhi Ji, the production follows time-tested processing and roasting techniques in the tradition of premium Yongchun teas. Harvested from remote and uninhabited hills between 600 metres and 900 metres above the sea level, the raw leaves have greatly benefited from the high elevation, pristine water and rich soil. Tea trees are typically planted and left undisturbed in a natural ecosystem through their stages of growth.
The palm-sized raw leaves are plump, soft and pliant. Only tender tips of three-four leaves and a bud are picked. Intensely aromatic and rich, the tea is meticulously made by master tea craftsmen with years of professional experience behind them. The finished product has thick, tight twists of leaf with a deep, natural sheen. The alluring aroma is pronounced and pleasant. On the palate, it is rounded and mellow with a distinct fruity note and an aftertaste that lingers. All in all, this is a wonderfully refreshing and moistening brew with a long finish.
