The Shui Xian (“Water Sprite”) is named after the tea tree variety, is a large-crowned tree with broad and thick leaves. This tea is a custom tea made using traditional craftsmanship, and Cha Zhi Ji has preserved the precious aroma of this rare variety since its brand was developed in 1999. The appearance of the finished tea features tightly knotted and curled tea leaves, resembling a 'cane shape,' with plump knots that exude a precious luster. When you smell the dry tea, it carries a mossy scent, and the fragrance of orchids intertwines sharply.
When brewed, the tea liquor is rich and vibrant, displaying a deep orange-yellow color. This selected Shui Xian variety is resilient to multiple infusions, and in later steepings, the tea soup becomes even clearer, sweeter, and more refreshing. Initially, the dominant aroma is that of orchids, gradually transitioning into the scent of bamboo leaves. The flavor is rich, refreshing, with a floral aftertaste. The tea has a sweet and smooth mouthfeel upon sipping, with a cool and lingering aftertaste that invigorates the spirit and refreshes the mind. The tea leaves at the bottom of the cup are soft and lustrous, with bright red edges.
