Si Jin Qian Liu Bao – Shen Cheong Legacy | Aged Tea from the 1970s & 2000s
Si Jin Qian (“Four Coins”) is one of the most iconic Liu Bao teas in Chinese tea history, originally crafted by the historic Shen Cheong 慎昌號 during the Qing Dynasty. It was a staple in Hong Kong’s golden tea era and widely exported across Southeast Asia. Now revived by Cha Zhi Ji, this treasured Liu Bao is once again available in two rare vintages.
🍂 1970s Edition – Vintage Hong Kong & Malaysian Aged
Stored first in Kowloon, Hong Kong, then matured further in Malaysia, this decades-aged Liu Bao develops a deep earthy base with hints of aged wood, dried jujube, and antique tea aroma. It’s thick, warming, and smooth—ideal for rainy mornings or moments of calm.
🌿 2000s Edition – Young Aged, Balanced & Energetic
This edition reflects the classic character of Si Jin Qian with a more refined body, clean aged wood fragrance, and mellow finish. Naturally aged for over 20 years in Malaysia, it retains vitality and infusibility while showing early signs of transformation into old Liu Bao.
Each version is a piece of living history—crafted with care, aged with purpose, and offered in limited quantity. Choose your vintage and experience Liu Bao through the lens of time.

This Liubao from the 70s is a glimpse into the past with rich cup after cup. The distinctive profile of this Liubao is apparent from the first steep.
Si Jin Qian 2000 is perfect all day tea. So many brewings with nice aroma, earthy, smooth and sweet taste. If you like dark teas, this is good to have in your selection. Less than 2 weeks and I got the tea to Finland.
