Tie Luo Han ("Iron Arhat") is the earliest among the four famous tea varieties. The fresh leaves are slightly thick, the tender buds are robust, appearing bright. They are typically harvested and processed around mid-April. This tea is a custom tea made using traditional craftsmanship, and Cha Zhi Ji has preserved the precious aroma of this rare variety since its brand was developed in 1999.
Tie Luo Han tea leaves are tightly rolled, displaying a lustrous green-brown color with a precious sheen. They carry a rich floral fragrance that is reminiscent of orchids and is deep and long-lasting. The flavor is mellow, sweet, and refreshing, with a good aftertaste. The tea liquor has a bright, golden hue, and the tea leaves at the bottom are soft and translucent. After brewing, the tea leaves at the bottom can clearly exhibit green leaves with red edges, much like oolong tea.
