This VIVE Liu Bao Tea originates from Cangwu County in Wuzhou, Guangxi — the historic birthplace of some of the finest Liu Bao vintages. Harvested in the 1980s from spring tea buds deep within high mountain forests, only the most tender and plump shoots were handpicked and crafted using traditional techniques.
After decades of natural aging, this tea has matured into an exceptional masterpiece, showcasing both the purity of origin and the refinement of time. The dry leaves are clean and well-shaped, and brew into a brilliant red liquor with clarity and depth. The first sip offers a rich, mellow body and a silky-smooth texture, unfolding into a layered experience of betel nut aroma intertwined with subtle medicinal notes.
Each cup delivers a lingering aged fragrance that resonates in the throat and mouth, echoing long after the sip. The tea’s structure is marked by impressive thickness, smoothness, moistness, and sweetness — harmoniously blended to provide a deeply comforting and contemplative experience.
This vintage also reflects the signature wet piling techniques of 1980s Liu Bao, which heavily influenced the development of modern Shou Pu-erh. Whether you're collecting or drinking, this tea’s value and flavor will only grow with time.
