Care Instructions
To preserve the natural qualities of your teapot, please follow these guidelines:
- No boiling needed: Our teapots are made from high-quality Yixing clay. Simply rinse with clean water to remove dust before first use — no boiling, tofu, or sugarcane treatments required.
- Avoid oil and fragrance: Keep your teapot away from oily or smoky environments. Do not use detergents. If stained by oil, the clay may lose its natural, warm luster and develop an unnatural glossy surface.
- Handle with care: Always handle the teapot gently. Even a small chip can affect both its value and appearance.
- Remove tea leaves promptly: Do not leave tea leaves overnight. Rinse thoroughly with water after each session to keep the interior clean and prevent odors or stains.
- Never seal a wet teapot: Always ensure the teapot is fully dry before storing. Sealing a damp teapot can lead to mold or discoloration.
- Let it rest: Rotate usage between two or more teapots. After use, allow each teapot to rest and air dry completely before the next brew.
With proper care, your Yixing teapot will develop a natural sheen and become increasingly radiant with each brew.
